Loved and Lost
Over the years I have shared my life with many unique and wonderful ratties. This section is dedicated to their memory.
Many people don't understand the pain that is felt when losing a pet, especially one so small as a rat. But I feel overwhelming love for each and every one of them. They are my family, and it really hurts when they have to leave. Having my remaining rats around is always a great comfort to me but each rat is unique and can never be replaced. All I can do is try my best to give them a happy life for the short time they are here, and to make the most of every day with them.

'What the heart has once known, it shall never forget'
'The deep pain that is felt at the death of every friendly soul arises from the feeling that there is in every individual something which is inexpressible, peculiar to him alone, and is, therefore, absolutely and irretrievably lost.' - Arthur Schopenhauer
